# PokeBonk type matchups: the real multipliers

PokeBonk uses the classic 18-type chart, but every value is softened before it hits an enemy:

| Classic matchup | In-game help text | Applied in PokeBonk |
|---|---|---|
| Super effective | x2 | x1.35 |
| Neutral | x1 | x1 |
| Resisted | x0.5 | x0.8 |
| Immune | x0 | x0.5 |

For dual types both values multiply, and the result is clamped between x0.4 and x1.8. Classic immunities still let half the damage through, and each starter gets +10% damage on moves of its own type.

The full 18x18 grid is on the [PokeBonk type chart](https://pokebonk.gg/type-chart), part of the guides at [PokeBonk.gg](https://pokebonk.gg/).
